„What is special on music touching our heart? When does music touch our soul, enchant us and enlighten our eyes?”

A young lady sat down at her piano every day after school, discovering and searching for enchanting sounds. So, with just 14 years of age, the first compositions of Stephanie Neigel were created. The signal for the start into a singer’s career.

After studying Jazz in Mannheim she got her master at the Musikschule Franu Liszt in Weimar and began learning from the best musicians like Jeff Cascaro, Michael Schiefel, Ann Malcolm, Sheila Jordan, Es-peranza Spalding, Judy Niemack, Anette von Eichel, Josee Koning, Maria de Fatima, New York Voices and worked together with popular musicians like Thomas Stabenow, Martin Gjakonovski and James Morrison.

Besides her band Stephanie Neigel works in other projects as singer or songwriter like in the a capella band Les Brunettes and the duo Neigelböhlen. Even in big-band Jazz Neigel feels at home.

The virtuous and diverse artist Neigel succeeds in combining different genres like Jazz, Pop and Country to a charming and expressive music. You cannot pigeonhole her but find new aspects of music in every single song. Just this mixture inspires and creates a complete picture of which experiences Neigel made in her life and which melodies and sounds she found. She tells stories and feelings with lightness and also with kick. Neigel touches our hearts with the clearness in her voice and leaves a brightness in our eyes.

“With Introducing, Stephanie Neigel gave us a wonderful produced album with intelligent and sensitive arrangements. Her clear and intimate voice guides us to the sea, into a café around the corner, to lost loves and to the search for happiness. A great album.” (Michael Schiefel)

„Introducing Stephanie Neigel is a fine album. The debut succeded." (Jazzthing)

„Introducing Stephanie Neigel (BHM) helps against simple and boring pop with jazzy-souly-catchy songs and Neigel’s clear voice between Annett Louisan, Norah Jones and Anna Depenbusch.“ (Spiegel.de)

„[her debut album] consists of twelve sensitive sung, mostly balladesc compositions, in which Pop, Soul und Country have great influence.“ (Jazzpodium)

"With a jazzy band she arranged her music diverse and sensitive. They show powerful, rocky sides and include influences of jazzy pop or country and folk, too. A great variety of influence." (Good Times)
